FK Construction is short for Firkant Og Kompass Construction. Inspired by his membership in the Masonic Lodge and his Norse heritage, the owner of this Stephenville-based business chose the name, which translates to “Square and Compass” — the symbol of the Freemasons.
Logomark Design
Design Brief
Drawing inspiration from the company’s Freemason and Norse heritage, I incorporated symbolism tied to each of these elements in the logomark.
While this concept was ultimately not implemented, it remains one of my personal favorites, and I decided to finish it at a later date.

A Viking represents the Brand’s Norwegian roots.
Carpenter's Square
The carpenter’s square, or “firkant,” is hidden in the viking’s mustache.
Compass
The compass, or “kompass,” forms the second half of the Freemasonry symbol.
